Recheck fuse 7..test both sides of the holder [ not fuse ends] with a 12v test lamp.....................

Today the fuses are all good, power to the climate control. If I jumper a motor switch contact to ground I believe I can hear a relay and the faint sound of a motor turning.

I haven't the foggiest. Next three numbers for both are '584', not what you need. Pick one and I'll try and match it up.

All that you have to do is give me the Model/Year of the car in question and I will know the Chassis # and which schematic to consult.

You are giving me two different years and I don;t want to Guess which one , even though I have a 50/50 shot at it...

Boo -Yaaa....that was easy.

OK You have chassis 124.128

behind the brake booster is a 3 prong plug.
Red/Yl/Blk

W/Key ON, CP on Defrost and Fan sw on High, take a Voltage test from Red to Blk..should have 12v
If NO, then check fuse link at shock tower.
If yes, then take V reading at Yl to Blk..should have 2-8 V..if No, CP is not giving signal, if yes , regulator or blower are bad.

ok, both vehicles have 12v red to black, 5-11v red to yellow. Is there a check for the regulator? Thanks.

I had a typo on that last voltage test..the second part of the test is yl to blk , not R to Yl..

Anyway, if that test OK, then you have to get to the motor/reg and ground the Blu wire that goes from the motor to the reg....that will give you high fan, verifying fan motor. If yes, then reg is bad.
The yellow wire is the trigger voltage to turn on the reg, which is why I have you verify voltage at yl wire before going down to the motor.
When you ground the blu wire , it is the same as direct 12 v to the motor b/c you have 12V + at the red and the blu is the ground side of the motor circuit. The regulator simply controls the ground side of the circuit [ a switched ground]
