Unhappy Check Engine Light on my C230! ! ! HELP (P0170)

Hello, so here is what happened. I NEVER press on the Gas on my cars. Never the type to go fast. I had just bought this Benz 3 weeks ago and today i sped up for the first time just to get in front of a car and my Check engine light turns on! So i opened the hood and i smelled, like burnt. Maybe oil or gas? The engine was HOT. I had only ran it about 15 miles. I took it to Autozone to get a Diagnostics and 1 troubleshoot code popped up! I got Code P0170! Anyone know what it could be? Maybe a dirty air filter? Or a dirty MAF? This car is covered by the dealership if anything goes wrong, so i can't replace or fix it my self or else the Contract would void. But i also don't want to send it in for a simple fix when all it needed was a cleaning. Is there any way i can take off the check engine light to see if it'll come back on? Or what should i do? The car turns on and runs fine! Maybe a LITTLE hesitant on accelerating? I wouldn't know! I just bought the car! THANKS FOR THE HELP

It's under warranty. Let them deal with it.

Lightbulb Check engine light went off?!

My check engine light came off? Today i turned it on and it was gone! I forgot to mention my MPG (Mile per Gallon) went down when i got the check engine and then, when the check engine went away today, my mpg went back up? From 18.6 to 23.4? ? ? What does this mean?

Skippy' advice x 2

Since your car is under warranty, Skippy gave you the correct advice. Write down what has gone on with the car over the past day and give it to the service advisor at the dealer. As you noted, you don't want to do anything to negate the warranty.

Exactly. There is something wrong with mixture or it's control. Have the dealer check it out now.
