Hella Headlight repair question
![]() I had some water condensation on my passenger headlight. I took the whole unit out, popped the little plastic tabs that hold the glass and plastic bezel in place, removed the front lens and started to clean it with a cloth. As I am getting ready to reassemble I noticed that the glass was separating from the plastic bezel. One small push and the glass pops out. Ooops. Seems it is held in place by a rubber gasket which locks the glass in place as it is pushed into the groove of the plastic bezel. I have new seals on order but they will take several days to get in. Does anyone have some ideas for a temporary fix? I was thinking of using a silicon sealant (like a caulking for windows) of some sort to hold it in place. My concern is removing the glass once I get the new seal in and being able to clean the caulk from the plastic groove. Any other ideas? The glass will not even pretend to stay in place right now so I cannot drive with only one light. Thanks
