How do I adjust 124 door latch?

Haven't found an answer by searching. I'd like to snug up the doors on my 1990 300E just a little and I assume adjusting the door latch will get it done? Anyone know how to do it, or has done it another way? I can't find a procedure on the service disks or on alldata.

Thanks,

Don

You adjust the striker on the body side, not the latch in the door. There are 2 screws on the striker, just loosen them up and gradually move the striker in towards the weatherstrip. Just do small amounts at a time. Don't let the striker move up or down, only in and out.
