1995' E320 Sedan Turn Signal Switch Replacement

Looking for a link or post with a good step by step and hopefully with pictures, with the how remove & replace the multi-function turn signal switch/lever. Also a good McGyver method for breaking loose the steering wheel nut once I'm there. The wife will be of no use to me.

My problem is each time the turn signal lever is used the wiper activates in the intermittent mode. I have to wiggle and turn the wiper switch on/off to get it to cease until the signal is used again.

I don't know if there's other reasons for this like dirty relay etc. like I've read elsewhere. I'm "ass-uming" the switch itself is worn and simply needs replaced.

I haven't purchased my replacement yet. Not until I complete my due diligence on the process and possible alternative troubleshooting. So any helpful info would be greatly appreciated.
