Turning off annoying message
I have a 1998 e320 and am trying to figure out how to turn off the annoying "service exceeded by xxxxx miles" message that pops up everytime I start the vehicle. The dealer service rep told me the procedure to do this is in my owners manual. If it is, they've done a great job of hiding it to encourage people to bring in their cars for one of those ridiculously priced "A" or "B" services in order to reset this message. Can anyone help?

See page 99 of your Owner's Manual
See pages 98-99 in your Owner's Manual. The middle colum on page 99 gives directions on resetting the Flexible Service System counter. In case you have a different manual, look it up in the index under "flexible service system".:p
