Fan Clutch removal

So I recently bought a 1984 190D with an om602 swapped in.
I was having squealing/chirpping issues on the pulley side.
I looked around and couldnt find any decent diy's for inspection or removal/replacement of pulleys etc

Heres my first attempt at a DIY

First you start by releasing the tension on the belt.
1. Remove the bolt by the green arrows. Depending on who's worked on your car before the bolt will have the nut towards the back of the engine if its been messed with or the nut towards the front of the engine if it was done right I've heard doesn't matter which way its on though. Mine had the bolt on the back.
2. Once the nut is off. Insert something in the hole marked by the red arrow. Apparently the OEM jack tool will fit perfectly I used a big screwdriver.
3. Remove bolt. Mine pulled out marked by the yellow arrow.
4. Tension is removed.

5.You can remove the belt at this point or wait until the fan clutch is off making it easier.
6.Now remove your radiator. Drain plug is at the bottom. Stole this from somewhere else on here. Loosen hoses then remove two clips at top. I removed my fan shroud prior to all this.

Here comes the part that I havent seen anywhere. People are always putting vicegrips on their water pump pulley to remove the fan clutch. Silly people.
7. On the back of the water pump pulley is this little hole.

8. Put something in this hole that will jam on the metal ridge where the red line is(I used an allen bit for my screwdriver) and hold it there so it doesnt pop out. Now put your 8mm allen key with an extender of some sort and remove. Easy right.

Fan clutch should pop out now.
Check all your pulleys to make sure they spin freely without any noise or bumps.
Check tensioner arm for side play.
Check condition of springs for the tensioner I've heard of them breaking.
Also the damper the bushings on mine were pretty bad and it rattled which I think led to my tensioner pulley going out prematurely. Heres a picture. THESE BUSHINGS SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO COME OUT OF THE DAMPER. They also shouldnt havea ridge like that.

My fan clutch bearing was also bad. I've removed it since and am now gonna work in a slim electric fan.
