1998 w210 sedan sunroof won't go up

I just recently replaced the sunroof seal because the sunroof had been leaking and now when I try to close it it is as if the back of the sunroof droops down. And when I raise it up it simple becomes even with the rest of the glass instead of cracking upwards like it is supposed to. I tried taking the seal back out and it does the same thing. Not sure as to what could be causing this.
