I'm calling this done, pictures below.
Outside was nearly 100* and getting 50-51* out of the vents. After driving around it was more like 53* which is close to range. I didn't put in 900g again but closer to 880g which is fine with me. The low side still reads low... 45psi instead of around 55 at that ambient temp. But the air is cold...so going to leave it.

My BMW E30, was blowing 68-73 out the vents in the same weather. That system will need some work at some point.

Also, given what I call "my wife's law of cars" something else had to break and it was the driver's side window. Regulator I think b/c I hear the motor clicking on. Fun next project.
