Question where is evaprator temp sensor on 126

Please help me locate evaporator temp sensor on a 300 sel. I found a sensor snapped through a hole in the air box just to the right of the expasion valve. This sensor has a 15" twin wire harness, is this it? I ordered a new sensor from fastlane and it does not have wires on it and it's description is ETR switch. Am I looking at the wrong part?
The original has a 2 pin connector with 15" of wire and the sensor has a 45 degree curve that snaps through the air box next to the expasino valve. The new one has no wire and is straight and smaller. Is there more than one?

My ac cuts out before it's cold enough.

any help will be appreciated.

In the heater case, above the gas pedal but about 10" toward the rear of the car.
ALL of the ones that I've replaces have a wiring "pigtail".

Wink evaporator sensor

M.B.DOC,
Thank you very much, that's exactly were it was. What made it confusing was the fact that I received the wrong part and was trying to find the old match. I installed the new one and the compressor is cycling properly now.

I continue to be amazed by how good this forum is, I have been driving Benzes for twenty years and just recently discovered this site.
Keep up the good work and thank you very much.

Armindo
