Lightbulb Used oil analysis: Ford vs. Mercedes

Today I changed oil for my 92 400E, I then compared the old engine oil to the oil from my 96 Ford Explorer, see picture below (thanks to my new Mini-DV).

They are both Mobil-1 5W30, they both have stayed 6 months in the engine, 4800 km in Mercedes 6600 km in Ford.

My Ford is a 4.0 pushrod V6, it has nearly 140k km, it's noisy but extremely reliable. 92 400E has more than 210k km on it. The difference is Ford only holds 4 Liters oil while Mercedes needs 8 Liters.

Does the picture indicate I could extend oil change interval for my Benz? or just how crude Ford is when comparing with Mercedes?
