117 injector seal help

Greetings to all forum members,

I just received a replacement fuel injector and seals from Fastlane.
The MB shop manual shows 2 different lower seals that can be used,#1160780473 or #1160780773.
They look very different.
Fastlane only offers the latter #.
I haven't pulled the old injector yet because of this concern.
Does it matter which seal is used or should I use the same type seal that the old injector used?

Thanks in advance for any and all replys,

Knarf

I would speculate that the latter number is an updated/upgraded part. I'll let those more knowledgeable explain.

If you are talking about your 72 they have two types Federal and California. Try the online catalog in Fastlane. You have to go by engine#.
