i have 2 problems:

1. i have noticed for the last couple of days that there is a oil burning smell in the cabin when i am driving. i have opened the hood with the engine running, and i can see light (white) smoke coming out from the side of the engine(passenger side). this smoke smells like burnt oil. is this a valve cover gasket that needs replacement! expense?

2. there is noise coming from the backseat/door molding area. i have tried leather conditioner thinking that it will cure the noise. i can only hear this from only the backseat (drivers side only).

The v/c gaskets are known to cause this. The job can be done in 2 to 2.5 hours. The squeak is probably one of the plastic seat mouldings that has come loose and needs to be replaced.
