LOL - I'm going to go talk to Clarance on Monday. I will pull the lower front cover off as a last resort.

It's out
The weather we are having is excellent for working on cars so I decided to proceed with removing the lower cover. Pretty straight forward. Once I got the cover and cylinder head off I removed the pin as shown. This is not what they had in mind when they built this thing but working around a paper machine where some parts are 120 day or more delivery you learn to improvise. That is a 9-1.25 die with alot of washer underneath it. Just keep tightening the die until the pin pulls out. Now back to the head removal thread. Although the slide rails look good I think I will replace them while I have it this far down.
I was surprised to see that the oil pump is a single row chain. Thanks for the comments and guidance ya'll.
