Somebody told me that some shops use this type device to suck out the oil from the dipstick rather than removing the engine cover below and draining the oil thru' the oil drain plug. Seems to make the job easier...no crawling beneath the car, no ramps, less work, and less messy. any down side to this technique? Thanks for your comment.
