My wife wants to replace the MB star on the hood of her '99 turbodiesel with a low profile hood ornament like on the cover of this month's 'Star 'magazine. Does any one know if it is available and what the part number might be?

Hey Jim Smith (NE section) - I read your letter to the editor (if it wasn't you I apologize) and I agree with you. This topic of diesel cars in the US in the future opens up a healthy discussion. Personally I believe that the 'lease option' on vehicles essentially killed the concept of people buying cars for the 'long haul' like a E300TD. With my two cars being MBs I hope I never have to buy another vehicle.
