Thumbs down Add Heated Seats

Yes, I purchased a new to me 1999 E320
Car is in great shape, although the air conditioning does not function - will live with that.

Statement: The car does not have heated seats (boo hiss)

Question: Do you have a suggestion on how I may get heated seats in the car? Heated pad?

Other than the seats - the car is great.

I am puzzled, I thought heated seats with leather seats on an E class was standard.

You comments and suggestions are appreciated.

tivoliman, per the sales brochure for our 1998 E320, heated front seats were an extra cost option.

When I inquired about adding heated seats to my parents' 1995 E320 that they purchased in 1999, the local MB service department told me the cost would be prohibitively expensive. Of course, perhaps you can source all the associated parts from a salvage car.

You can get a set of carbon fiber seat heating pads for ~$60 for both front seats on ebay if you really want them.

There are aftermarket kits, which will be much easier than finding the original Mercedes parts (harness, fuseholders, switches, console wood, heating pads, etc.).
