W210 Sunroof Rattle

I've a 99 e430, when driving on uneven roads there is an annoying rattle in the roof just ahead of the sunroof. I removed the center light/sunroof switch assembly and can dampen the rattle by pushing up on the sunroof motor. It sounds like a loose control cable - are they easy to adjust?

BTW the sunroof is working fine. Has anyone had similar problems? Any suggestions on how to fix?

'just ahead' meaning between the roof opening and the sun visor? or do you
mean between the roof opening and the passenger seat overhead light?
