1993 190e no spark

I have a 93 190e 2.3 that died on the highway as I got off a ramp. It has no spark. Can someone tell me how to test the ignition module? Coil? Thanks in advance for the help. Also, there is a large red wire with a green stripe that has had the end burned off. I cant seem to find where this would go. I think its for the accessories.

Can you check the CPS sensor ?This lead sends the message to the ezl to fire .If cps is shot them the ezl wont fire the spark to ignite fuel..Sit in the car and spin over the engine with the key .Now look at the rev counter do you see movement on the needle...No movement on the rev counter needle tells you it no good..If cps is good it will move if only just a little. Last time i had this it was the alarm that was faulty.Would not run till it was removed. But mine never started from laying it up in the winter of last year. Then check out the coil ,do you have the values of coil check in manual,in that i mean how to.
