M104 wiring harness and throttle body question
Hey, I own a E320 Cabriolet that I am fixing, I got the wiring harness replaced for a new one from delphi, I am going to replace the throttle body but noticed something odd. My wiring harness has an extra plug, and that extra plug is for my throttle body that came with harness, my original one has a bigger plug then the one on my wiring harness. I find it very strange that the wiring harness fixed all the problems I had with, the car, except for the irratic idle that is normally the cause of the throttle body.
So I can install it and use the plug from the delphi wiring harness, but then my old one with not be used. Very strange, the guy I bought it from said it was upgraded and universal, and it does work on my car, fixed many problems, and the only extra plug is the one for my throttle body. Both throttle bodies are non ASR, both are said to fit the W124. I wonder if my original throttle body has gotten any electronic signal at all, and that can have made my car act the way it did. I really want to try the one I have as a replacement. Part number is: 0001415725 my stock one 0001416525 my replacement What do you guys think? |

I have seen plenty of new wiring harnesses that come with optional plugs.Don't forget older throttle bodies suffer with bad wiring also.

Thanks for the input, will try to fit it today. The throttle body is new from 2012 Was a mint, well kept 320 that got crashed, that I was lucky enough to get some parts from.
