2-door CLK windows do not drop enough when opening doors

Guys, on my W208 2002 CKL55 AMG convertible the windows only drop about 1mm when opening/closing the doors. Resyncing did not fix. They do drop down when opening & raise up when door is shut, but only maybe 1mm. They almost seem to move forward/backward rather than up/down. All other window functions are perfect. They should drop about 1/2" right?

Any ideas?

It sounds like the window regulator or where the glass attached to the regulator is loose / worn. The motors should have a sensor to determine motor position and if the linkage is loose, the glass won't move enough because the motor has already gone as far as it should.

I'd pull the door panels and see if the lift mechanism hasn't broken away somewhere. If the window/s move fore and aft is would seem the plastic giude or channel has broken away from it's anchor.

Everything is tight. It seems to be more of a software/sensor thing?
