Try turning the key to the run position, wait five seconds then turn it to the off position. Repeat twice and then try to start. Trying to figure out if it's losing fuel pressure overnight. Are the spark plugs fresh? They make a big difference in cold starts. How are hot starts?

Take a look at the rev counter . And then as you try to start .Can you see any movement on the rev counter needle?. If it moves it a good CPS [ crank possition sensor ] Find an old plug . Pull one lead off the plug ,pull it off with the right tool or you can damage it .If you have no tool pull it off with the metal part of the plug lead .Now put the old plug in to the ht lead .Hold it over the plug thats still in the engine .You must use insulated pliers as a voltage of 4000 volts to 5000 volts are in the lead This is why you hold it with insulated pliers . Or you will have a set of wings free .Look for a spark in the plug your have fitted in the ht lead .Do this as someone spins the engine over for you.If its sparking then fuel is the problem. The electrics will be ok . If your not sure about doing this , then get an auto guy to do it for you.

Till you find out what it is ,pull the fuse for the heater .Sounds like the controls are stuck. And not moving the flap to close hot air to the cabin. They are operated with vacuum i think,, but not sure,.. But that can wait You problem above needs fixing first .

Other things you can do is .Clean all the fuses in the fuse box , take them out one at a time . And make sure you put them back in the same place as you removed it from. ..Next is trhe earth points , thats the negative leads that go from engine , and gear box, to the body of the car . Clean up the body of the car under the fixing bolt , and put a little grease on before refitting them .. You can have the best battery in the usa, but if the earth lead is not doing its job 100% it will look as if the battery its low on charge . This is just normal maintenance,, but you wont need to look at these items for years after .
