Door latch removal on 1996 E300 W210. Pre IR in the door latch.

I pulled the door panel off per a mercedes instruction video and am currently epoxying all the plastic mounts for the snaps back on.

But I can't get to the back of the handle.

The problem is that when I put my key in and turn it I get NO RESISTANCE.

It doesn't spin around 360 degrees. it just feels like it's moving nothing.
So, I'm hoping a little do-hicky in the there needs to be reattached to a the handle.

I read the peachparts instructional, but it wants me to remove the air bag rivets to get to the IR actuator that I don't have because I don't have IR in the door handle.

Any advice or a link to a vid?
