driver window problems...clicking?

Hey guys, i'm having problems with my 1992 500E. The window goes up and down at normal speed, but as it does so it makes a clicking sound. If i put it down all the way, when i try to put it back up it will not go back up until i push the button 3 or 4 times, and then it will go up normally at normal speed, but still clicks. Is this a window regulator problem?

Your description of a clicking sounbd is not too clear. If this is quite a heavy sounding noise coming from the door then the regulator teeth are worn. If if is a quiet clicking from under the dash then you atre looking at an electrical problem causing the relay to drop out.

New regulator is about £60
