\'90 300SL--IN THE DARK!

I have a problem---I lost all my instrumentation illumination, rt. front & rear parking lamps, license plate lamp...
The #1 fuse was blown, and when replaced, blows immediately when I turn on the lights (one "click" on the switch=parking lights). I had a problem with the switch before(came off in my hand when turning on the fog lights) and the LED in the center worked only intermittantly....could the short be in the switch? I pulled the parking bulbs on by one and the fuse still pops w/out each bulb...I'm lost. Also, quickly, I lost the tension spring on the headlight wiper---where can I get just the spring? Thanks for any help--edit as necessary...
