My 1988 420 SEL was rear-ened today by of all drivers, a Sheriff's Deputy. Went by the body shop I've used on other cars for him to take a look. He says the unibody is bent over the right rear wheel but he has a machine that can straighten it. Can it really be fixed or should I be demanding demunition in value plus the repair cost?

One thing that we really look for is any frame damage when performing a pre-purchase inspection...Get everything you can from their ins. agency!! Your car simply can't be worth as much when it has been hit.
