Intake manifold M103 300SE

Started today with replacing the head gasket. Did all the grunge work before I can take the head off tomorrow. I have all the intake bolts out, except for the one closest to the firewall. The heater core pipe is in the way and needs to come off, it looks like it's hold in place by two hex bolts which also hold the bracket to hoist the engine.

Am I correct in loosening both hex bolts to remove the heater core pipe and how is it sealed?

Thanks.

That pipe is sealed with an o-ring, the same one that is on the pipe in the front of the engine going into the water pump.

I have a really hard time getting those hex bolts loose, I’m afraid I’m going to strip them. But I guess there is no other-way around it.
