W140 rear sls coil spring question.
Hello. I am removing the sls from my car. I have a non sls parts car. Now I have only removed the coil spring from the sls car so far. But the bottom coil is bigger then the rest of the spring. Do both cars use the same lower control arm or do I need to change that also?

There would appear to be an opportunity for you to answer your own question.

Ha. That's a lot of work for a question someone should know the answer too. Although. I did answer part of it as it seems the non sls car has the same darn spring. I don't know how people are saying that they cut a coil off when the ends are specific.

That’s why you should be suspicious of a car if someone cut the coils.
Spend some time with EPC to compare parts between an S500 and same year S420 without SLS. Observation/advice - this forum has little appreciation for deleting vs fixing SLS. Put on some thick skin and be patient. An answer *might* come. Sixto 98 E320s sedan and wagon |

I would never convert the SLS over. They are easy to maintain if one changes the fluid on a regular basis. And it makes all the difference in the world if you load a couple of heavyweights in the back seat, 500 pounds of luggage and 26 gallons of gas.
