OIL Leak S320 1999

I have a newly found oil leak coming from behind the alternator on the passenger side. I have tried to research causes, but have not been able to find and/or identify of what exactly is leaking The leak occurs after about 5 minutes of idle when the oil warms up, and continues for sometime after the engine is shut down. Anyone had this issue or know what is causing the leak?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Probably the upper portion of the front timing cover...a common problem. If you choose to DIY use quality replacement seals and be sparing with the sealant. It could be the head gasket starting to leak (don't panic, if it is, it won't be a real problem for a while) but i'd try the cover seal first. Good luck!!!
