I tried maximum air pressure and it wasn’t enough. I’ll grab the electric impact and see how that goes
|
That bolt is torqued anywhere between 370-400 nm from the factory, I've had luck using my Milwaukee 1/2 impact although I had to pull my 3/4 air impact a few times and in a few extreme cases I had to use the factory lock tool and a very very long 3/4 breaker bar.

The hf electric impact didn’t phase it. I put the crank lock tool on then used the 2 foot breaker bar. Came right off. Should’ve just did that in the first place.
Now do I need a puller to get the crank pulley off? Or does it pry off. I don’t want to damage the harmonic balancer |
Bought a cheapo hf puller and got the pulley off. Can somebody please tell me if I have to remove the entire belt accessories on the driver side to remove the lower front cover? Kinda looks like I do. Also found a severed electrical 2 pin plug. Not sure where that came from. One pin has 2 black/red wires stripe the other has a single brown/blue stripe

Think I made a big boo boo. I put the head on and the exhaust cam isn’t timed correctly. I can’t rotate it to the point where it needs to be. I gotta redo the whole gasket process right? New head bolts?

Yikes... you are brave tearing into an M104 without the manuals. They are available online for free from MB at StarTekInfo, but the interface is difficult to use. Click the link below for an easy-to-navigate manual for the W124:

This tool is also worth all the money spent on it https://www.amazon.com/Williams-H-41AA-Flex-Handle-Breaker/dp/B008BT1Y1G/ref=asc_df_B008BT1Y1G/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309763890402&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7068686958959939141&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hv qmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9027628&hvtargid=pla-572951897972&psc=1 It is very heavy and has no issues breaking stuff loose or even completely altogether. |
Anyone familiar with this bolt? I can’t find it’s spot. 6mm hex, looks like stainless steel
