1998 Mercedes S320 W140, No AC or Heater
I have a 1998 W140 S320. It is very not here in No Cal right now and this is my wife's car THAT SHE LOVES....
Issue: No AC I took it to the shop and the mechanic said the Climate control unit was out. Multiple codes. He did a reset and the codes came back. I bought a reman unit off ebay and installed yesterday. everything works fine for blower motor. direction of air flow, up, down, vents etc. Still no AC. My interior sensor is buzzing on the Top interior light panel. When I ran a head unit diag. all I got was EB1 147 (Left-Side Water Valve, Y21y1???). Could these cause the AC compressor not to kick in??? Any help would be most appreciated. Here are other values I recorded: 1 - 97 2 - 92 3 - 104 4 - 105 5 - 100 6 - 178 7 - 4 8 - 130 9 - 0 10 - 1.5 11 - 1.1 12 - 4.3 Then it jumped to 20 - 0 21 - 0 22 - 0 23 - 0 24 - 12.3 Then it jumped again to 40 - 5 41 - 3 42 - 73 43 - 136 As I said, My wife loves her car. But with no A/C that will soon change. I just put $2,600 into the car to pass smog, replace the power steering pump and alternator. I don't want to keep throwing money at the car but I think this last fix will keep me happily married for another 20 yrs. Thank you in advance. Kirk (1998 Mercedes S320, 240K and still looking pretty)

I don't have an ID to description chart handy. You need to find out what ID is high side pressure to make sure there is some pressure in the system.
