2009 E320 Bluetec wheel bearing race

Hi all. I need to replace the driver side front wheel bearing. I ordered the oem MB inner and outer bearings + the MB grease seal from Peachparts. Does anyone know if new bearing races come with the new bearings? JD from Peachparts wasn't sure. Thanks.

p.s. I looked around quite a bit and didn't find a source for just bearing races.

I was thinking if you ordered a new bearing it comes with the race. A note, the seal also provides the "pickup" for the wheel speed sensor. Pay close attention to how far in the seal is. If not where it is supposed to be you will get a wheel speed sensor code.

Thanks, Jim. I'll know in a couple of days when the parts arrive. I will post what I find out.

You are correct about the seal depth and the sensor. Non oem seals may not have the pickup at all.

What is the part number for the bearing and seal?

Is this car AWD / 4 matic?

I've seen bearing seals with a magnetic imprint on the small Ford Transit Connect van. This is a front drive that uses a packaged bearing / seal assembly.

Do nor hammer the new seal in place either as it can shatter the magnets, use a washer and nut/bolt to draw it in.
