Talking W210 power memory seat / mirrors / column dead

Hi.

I am assuming that this must be a power supply issue, as it's a total failure of the entire driver's power adjustment system. The power/memory passenger seat works just fine, but the driver's one is dead.

I know very little about how the system operates. I assume it must have a little black box somewhere with some memory in it, but other than that, I'm not sure. Electrical issues don't worry me too much, but if anyone has experience of this, I'd be very interested to know.

BTW this is a RHD car, so any reference to the location of things in the car may be reversed.

Many thanks.

Check the fuse first then pull the door card and remove the switch assembly. Open it up and check for indications of corrosion, clean it if it is there. I had a friend do this on his '99 E300 and it resolved some issues he was having.
