Hi Group,

Its time for me to address changing the gear oil in the rear axle on the 96 C280

Anyone know the size of the tool to remove the plugs? The owners manual says to use Hypoid gear oil SAE 90, 85 W 90.

I wish to use Valvoline Synpower Synthetic gear Oil 75 W 90.

Is this an appropriate gear oil to use and are there any other caveats that I should be aware of?
