I have bought an '84 310 van (camper) 2.3 petrol. When I have driven for any time and stop a noticable petrol smell fills the van and my MPG is about 16 when I take it easy. I replaced the old fuel pipes from the pump as they where weeping but the problem still persists. Can you advise.

This is a very broad subject; the fuel could be leaking from any location. If you find a specific leak and need help on how to repair it feel free to ask!
