91 300SE -- delayed 2-3 shift when warm
My 91 300SE's been holding second gear like the transmission is cold after a quick stop this morning. The engine wasn't off for more than a few minutes. The temp gauge was just under 100C when I started the car so the transmission couldn't have cooled down that much. It still acts that way after a 20 mile run.
With my foot as lightly on the pedal as possible, it will hold in second to 4000rpm then shift quickly through third and into fourth. The fluid looks and smells okay. Upshifts are as crisp and determined as ever. Downshifts are lazy but they've always been that way. Any ideas? Thanks, Sixto 91 300SE 87 300SDL |
