I am trying to disassemble a climate control unit from a Gen II CCU (1986 560 SEL). Anyone know how to remove the temperature wheel? I find all kinds of information regarding the Gen I CCU but nothing on the Gen II.

There is a plastic push-pin that goes through the outer case and through the temp wheel itself. Use a fine screwdriver to pry it up and pull it out. The wheel will then pop out.
