1997 C280 w/Auto-Dimming Mirror

My auto-dimming mirrow seems to be broken. It moves a lot up and down when going over bumps and the knob will not turn.

Was curious how do you remove the mirror. Was looking at replacing it with the manual mirror that's available from MB. It's a little expensive, but so much nicer than the mirror on it now.
