I have a 1998 E320 and the a/c has stopped working for a few months now. I recharged the freon last year and the a/c worked for a few days. The car was in storage for a couple of months and when I started driving it again late last year the a/c was MIA again.

The controls and the fans are working. The heating works too. But the air that blows out is just outside air for the moment.

I accessed the error codes using Charle's method and got the following readings (I'm inlcuding 2 or more readouts ):

10 0.8 (5.7 with car running and fan at full)
11 4.0/4.1
12 2.3/3.6/2.1
20 3.2
21 32 (44 with car running and fan at full)

24 11.6 (13.3 with car running and fan at full)

41 32
43 152

The codes stop at 43. I tried clearing the codes by pressing ^ and V buttons simultaneously, but that didn't do anything. The display still shows the error codes.

The display does return to normal a few minutes after I turn off the car or remove the ignition.

I am not sure how to read these codes nor how to reset the codes.
