Problem with the thingmajig

OK.

76 450 SEL has a unit near the passenger side firewall. Has a bunch of vac. lines on top and rad hose though the bottom. Sprung a leak of Antifreeze today. Patch job done. How can I rebuild this thing. And wjhat is it. Someone told me, "that thing" is like 900 bucks...

Please help.

Lightbulb

Most suppliers would refer to this unit as the heater control valve. A company called MANTIS sells remaned unit.
