Left rear window only moves when using door switch, not console. Changed console switch, problem still exists, any ideas?

Try operating the switch while someone else opens & closes the door. Many times the wires that run from the switches to the door crack where they go into the door. Mercedes makes a wiring harness to repair the broken wires.

No effect when door is opened and closed while console switch is depressed. What next? Thanks
