722.3 B2 adjustment measures
Hi everyone,
I´m Stefan from Germany and I read already a lot in this forum about tranny overhaul. Since I´m more or less finished with the overhaul of my 722.350 I´m now having a little issue with doing the measure for finding the correct pin length for compensation of B2 clearance. The point is that the procedure for doing the measure is quite clear to me but my results do vary quite a lot while repeating them. Sometimes Im getting results where I´m supposed to use a pin shorten by app. 1,3mm..and then the next time 0,8mm longer. This seems strange to me and i wonder if anyone else here has faced something similar before.... Thanks in advance /Stefan PS: The original length is 48mm...and if my measure results tell me to reduce by 1,3mm then this length is not available since 47,2mm (A 126 277 71 75) is the shortest one... that made me puzzled so I measured again with opposite results.... I did already disassemble the piston but nothing obvious there..and principally the measuring is quite straight forward...also since I´m using a screw clamp for having more stable condition (not pushing the cover)...
