My 1988 190E 2.3 has been shifting hard on takeoffs from a dead stop. It will hesitate and you can feel the car sort of downshift and then it shoots you into a lower gear. It is a very abrupt and hard shift. It only happens from a dead stop. I have checked the trans. fluid level and it is fine. Any thoughts on what this could be? Faulty kickdown switch or throttle cable adjustment?
It is really starting to bug me. Thanks, Chris Prestridge |
