'09 E350 RF Headlamp Stops Working

RF Headlamp goes out after 2-3 minutes and then comes back on. Bulb has been replaced with same result. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

HID ballast is toast.

Thanks for the reply. I’m not familiar with the HID ballast. Is it one for both sides or separate L & R and where are they located?

Each headlight has its own HID ballast. It is mounted to the bottom side of the headlight housing. The easiest way to access it is to remove the bottom cover underneath the front bumper and go in from below.

This is assuming you have HID headlights not halogen.

yep ballast is most likely the culprit.
Any links to ballast replacement? I hear they are a few $$$ at the dealer.
