Any problems swapping out Dash and Wirings from a 91 260E to a 87 260E ?

There was an Accident that melted my wiring and many parts in the dash of my 87 260E. I got a spare parts car, a 91 260E to replace the damages parts. I would Loved to hear if anyone had the experience or knowledge that is swap this going to work? Thank you. Harideva

US market 260E (later called 300E 2.6) had a 3.27 axle up to 89 and from 1990 they had a 3.07 axle so your speedometer might be showing a wrong speed if you swap it.

Thank you. My Speedo in the 87 is not damage, but some of the wirings around it needs replacing. I'll try to keep the original Speedo. Thank you
