Fuel Pump Location on C280?

Hi Group,

I need to release fuel pressure so that I can change filter on 96 C280.

It is my understanding that this is done by running car after electrical connector is disconnected from fuel pump.

Is there a more simple way of releasing fuel pressure.

Where is the fuel pump on the car and does the electrical connector unplug or unscrew?

Thanks

WHY DO YOU NEED TO RELEASE FUEL PRESSURE?. IF YOU ARE CHANGING THE FUEL FILTER YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RELEASE FUEL PRESSURE. IF YOU DISCONNECT THE FILTER A SMALL SPRAY OF FUEL WILL COME OUT. FUEL FILTER IS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT REAR NEAR THE REAR SUSPENSION UNDER A PLASTIC COVER.
