%#*& throttle linkage

I was driving to work this morning and all of the sudden the gas pedal went to the floor and the car was idling. The plastic piece that holds the throttle cable to the throttle valve snapped and cause the cable to slide thru the linkage. what a stupid design, for a part like that they could have used a metallic insert. fortunately i had my tools and was able to "jimmy" the thing to work atleast to get it home. the part is only $1 at the dealer but it sure makes a big difference. luckily i wasn't on the freeway yet.
PS you may want to check yours as the dealer said they stock lots of these things.
