It tries to start, hence, the ignition system is probably OK.
1) The fuel supply system has two pumps in series. If one pump has failed the "tries-to-start" symptom will appear.
2) The fuel pump relay is bypassed when the starter is engaged. If it has failed the "tries-to-start" symptom will appear.

Note: Writing in ALL CAPS is like shouting.

Thanks for this tip. Do you know if this applies to a 1992 300te also?

THANKS FOR THE TIP! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT! I wanted to make sure you heard. So I was “shouting”.

Check for a bad fuel pump as mentioned, they are likely culprits. You may be able to feel one running and not the other.

Cap and rotor are common failure/maintenance issues on M103 motors. The only time my 300TE let me down was a burned rotor. Check for spark into the cap from the coil but not out to the plug wires.

Good luck and please complete the post...
