I have one rear wheel getting hot while I drive. When I drove over 85 mph for an extended period of time, I could hear a noise from that wheel. Also, I can hear some type of noise when I make a turn in my driveway with the windows down. I took the wheel off, and while it was hot, the wheel spun freely. Also, the hub was as hot, if not hotter than the caliper. Therefore, I concluded that it must be the rear wheel bearing, and not the caliper. How hard is it to replace the rear wheel bearing. (I have done the front wheel bearings, many brake jobs and a head gasket on this car in the past.)
Thanks
Jovan

I have done them but I have the special tools from Mercedes and highly recomend them! With the right tools it/s a breeze but I can't imagine doing the job at home.
