Question Bizaare Sound

Every time I go over a bump a hear a whistle type sound coming from the air vents - almost like a chirp. When I turn the air cond. off I no longer get the whistle/chirp sound going over small bumps in the road. Any ideas? Valves in the AC? AC works normally (finally).

Thanks

WELL I DON'T KNOW WHAT MODEL CAR YOU HAVE, BUT IT MIGHT BE A POSSIBLE LOOSE BLOWER, OR A PARTICLE IN YOUR BLOWER HOUSING.

It's a 97 C280.

By the way WRM, typing in all caps is similar to yelling in the e-world!

Turn that jet engine off in the background so you don't have to yell! :p

WRM - thanks. Yeah, the A/C filter was replaced 2 weeks ago. On occasion when I shut the AC off, as the vents close the chirp/whistle occurs then as well. Kinda like someone blowing on an empty coke bottle - gets higher in pitch as the vents close. The blower motor sounds ok. Weird.

Talking

Oh yeah - David Klasse - thanks for looking out for me - you knew my make and model! I guess I've posted quite a bit on here. I've relied on you and others to take the guess work out of C280 ownership. Thanks guy!

Mark,
No problem! I'm glad I could help.

WRM,
I know G-Benz doesn't intend on sounding rude in any way. It's just that when the CAPS are on, it's more or less like "yelling" on the internet. I'm sure he didn't mean to offend you. Regardless, your help is greatly appreciated! :p
